Baymax – 3D Character Model

Baymax, the lovable healthcare companion from Big Hero 6, was my 3D rendition of the iconic robot, aimed at showcasing my skills in character modeling, texturing. I began By carefully studying the character's design, focusing on its smooth, soft, and oversized form to capture Baymax's approachable, caring personality. Using Maya, I sculpted the base Shapes, paying close attention to the character's signature inflatable body and its soft, rounded edges.

After the sculpting phase, I performed retopology to ensure the model was ready to be perfect model. for texturing, I applied a soft, matte finish to the body, mimicking the medical-grade material of Baymax’s suit, while also incorporating subtle surface imperfections for realism.

I refined the character with dynamic lighting to enhance the friendly and comforting aesthetic of Baymax, giving it a warm, inviting feel. The final render brings out Baymax’s signature Features: the clean, white form with glowing details like his chest and facial expression. This project was a valuable exercise in replicating a beloved character while improving my skills in Character design and 3D production techniques.
